A Gentle Afternoon of Remembrance and Connection this Mindful May

As part of Mindful May, we invite you to join us for a compassionate afternoon of remembrance, reflection, and support for those affected by early pregnancy loss on Saturday, 2nd May.

This event has been thoughtfully created to offer a safe and welcoming space where you can pause, breathe, and spend time in quiet connection. Whether you have been personally affected by pregnancy loss or are here to support someone you care about, you are very welcome to join us in whichever way feels right for you.

We understand that healing looks different for everyone. For some, it may be a moment of quiet reflection. For others, it may be a gentle conversation or simply being in the presence of others who understand. There is no expectation to share or participate in any particular way. You are free to come as you are.

What to Expect

We will begin the afternoon at 12.00 pm in the peaceful surroundings of the Forget Me Not Garden at Hazlehead Crematorium. This will be a time for quiet remembrance, offering space to reflect and honour the little lives that are always remembered.

At around 12.30 pm, we will take a gentle walk over to The Park Cafe. If walking does not feel comfortable, you are very welcome to travel by car instead.

From 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm, we will gather in the marquee at The Park Cafe, where there will be tea, coffee, and cakes available. This part of the afternoon is centred around calm, mindful activities designed to support relaxation and reflection. These include pebble painting, flower art, string painting, and creating handmade bird feeders.

These activities are simply there as a gentle invitation. You are welcome to take part, sit quietly, chat, or just enjoy the space in whatever way feels most supportive for you.

A Space to Be Held

Above all, this event is about creating a space where you feel held, understood, and not alone. There is no pressure, no expectations, and no right or wrong way to spend the afternoon.

We hope this time offers a small moment of comfort, connection, and care.
