Workplace Training

MISS are proud to partner with MIST Workshops, to address the often-overlooked topic of miscarriage in the workplace.

Miscarriage is a deeply personal and emotional experience that affects many employees, often spilling over into professional lives. However, workplaces frequently lack the knowledge, awareness, and confidence to provide meaningful support.

We provide specialist workshops which offer comprehensive training to HR professionals, managers, and teams. The sessions cover a range of topics, including compassionate communication, the psychological impact of miscarriage, and pregnancy after loss. Our focus is on building a supportive, inclusive environment for employees affected by miscarriage.

Together, MISS and MIST Workshops aim to empower organisations to create spaces where employees affected by miscarriage feel understood, respected and supported.

What To Expect

Our training equips delegates with the knowledge, awareness, and confidence to better support colleagues affected by pregnancy loss. Delegates have the opportunity to:

Deepen their understanding of pregnancy loss in its various forms, including its prevalence, emotional impact, and the challenges it poses in the workplace.

Gain practical skills to respond to disclosures appropriately, and avoid common insensitivities.

Identify workplace triggers and explore strategies to minimise them, fostering an inclusive environment.

Engage in interactive discussions with case studies, real-world examples, and expert guidance in a safe, respectful space.

Learn best practices for creating supportive policies, reasonable adjustments, and ongoing resources and ideas for support tailored to employee needs.

Workshops are carefully tailored to meet the specific needs of individual organisations. By attending, delegates can leave feeling more prepared to make meaningful, positive changes in their workplaces, ensuring employees feel understood, valued, and supported.
