Managed by Rachael Pritchard, the shop benefits from her extensive experience in organising and fundraising for the charity. We are fortunate to also have Caroline Sinclair and Kumi McDougall as our Assistant Managers, as well as a fantastic team of friendly volunteers who all play a part in the success of the shop.

“I worked in the fundraising team for two years, planning various events and fundraising activities. Part of the role also involved managing our annual pop-up shop in Aberdeen, which fuelled our dream to open our own charity shop. It’s exciting and fulfilling to see MISS grow and raise awareness every day. We have many regulars, and the Laurencekirk community has really got behind us. We are excited to see how much it will continue to grow.”

Rachel Pritchard, Shop Manager

Our Community

We are proud to have hosted several late-night openings and in-store events, which have been great successes! Not only do these events raise vital funds for MISS, but they also provide wonderful opportunities to bring our community together.

Furthermore, we’re thrilled to collaborate with Westerton Farm, which stocks some of our clothing and outdoor wear in their farm shop. We also recently partnered with the Primary School Swap Shop to provide school uniforms free of charge to families in need.

How We Give Back

Our charity shop in Laurencekirk plays a crucial role in the community. We give hundreds of pre-loved items a new home each week, preventing waste from reaching landfill and making fashion sustainable and affordable for all.

Since the closure of Laurencekirk’s only charity shop in 2019, we’ve been proud to fill a vital gap, offering:

  • Family-friendly pricing with all children’s clothes just £2

  • Regular promotions including £1 clothing sales buy-one-get-one-free offers, and discounts on books, toys and more

  • Strong local partnerships — with Clyde Recycling and Nathan’s Wastesavers — that help us recycle over 100 bags of textiles weekly

Donate Items

If you would like to donate items to the charity shop, you can drop them off during our opening hours.

Please note: we do not accept CDs, duvets, underwear, cots, car seats, helmets, or sharps.

For larger items, please send a picture and description to charityshop@miss-support.org.uk.

Shop Online

Alongside our physical charity shop, we also sell a selection of items online through eBay, Facebook and Vinted. Support us from the comfort of your own home!
